I've lived in Blancherne under vanrooy for 9 months now. What I like most is it's accessible, clean, and affordable considering it's within the city - hard to find downtown at this price. Maintenance has been responsive and the apartment was clean to move-in. Location is great, close to downtown and easy to get to store/bus. Overall good value for 46204 area. Would recommend for someone looking for an affordable city area.
My husband & I moved to the Blacherne apartments around 2 years ago when renovations began on the Continental. We could have easily moved back to our old apartment when renovations were complete, but decided to stick around. The apartments are beautiful. All hardwood floors (like, REAL hardwood), tons of natural light, Nest thermostat, a nice shaded balcony and access to all the new and unique amenities of the Continental. The place I stay is convenient and in a good location, but the management lacks communication skills when it comes to informing residents about ongoing activities or construction work. There were frequent heavy drilling noises around the building, making it impossible to rest comfortably. Because of this poor communication and constant disturbance, I cannot recommend this place.
