My previous review was removed so I’m leaving this review again. I stayed here from 2018-2023. The last property manager (heavy set woman) before I moved out was very rude and acted like she did not want to be there. However, Isabell and Hannah were always pleasant and professional . I never had issues living here as far as crime and it was perfect when I worked downtown because it was within walking distance of my job and had grocery stores, a library, and entertainment nearby. I've been here a week and was so excited to move in but the elevator has been down the entire time. The elevator was supposed to be up and running "in a few hours" and I was assured it's not a common occurrence but as a new resident, I have no idea if that's true. Climbing up 5 flights of stairs while trying to set up my apartment has been such a hassle. I've already twisted my foot once climbing the stairs while carrying up a few boxes. I already regret signing the lease.
Simply put the Blacherne is a great place to live and this review is not to get a gift card like some of these review believe. Maintenance does a really good job of fixing issues the same day they are submitted through the resident app. The management office was very responsive and communicative, especially Katherine. I recommend The Blacherne to anyone who would like to move downtown. I have lived here for the past 2.5 years and love it! You can’t beat the rent, friendly/helpful staff, and quickness of maintenance. Location is ideal sine it is close to the circle, mass ave and canal. The parks across the street are an added bonus.
