bitterman (Rick) did an attic ladder repair for me. He was able, effecient, punctual , accomodating and successful in completing the repair, all at a reasonable price.
I am the Office Manager for a web development company here in San Francisco. We have a very cool, very unique space but, unfortunately, we have nothing but concrete walls. Rick absolutely gets 5 stars from me! He was recommended to me from a friend, and what a find. I made one call and he responded the same day. We scheduled an appointment within 2 days and he was on time, with all the tools necessary to fix an annoying faucet problem that I'd been dealing with for 5 years. I also asked him if he could look at my dryer that just wasn't working as well as I thought it should. As a designer I need people that are versitile and skilled. Rick is reliable, skilled and knowledgable of a great amount of construction project types. Easy to work with, I would highly recommend Rick of Bitterman Carpentry.
Rick did an excellent job. His attention to detail was amazing and was much higher than other handymen we used. His pricing was fair and he even did a few minor things that I didn't ask him to do but were needed. I woul definitely hire him again.

Rick has helped us with a variety of handyman work - replacing a screen door, changing hard-to-reach lightbulbs on cathedral ceilings, fixing a smoke alarm, fixing a leaking garbage disposal, etc. He has always been extremely responsive and quick to help out. He's reliable, trustworthy and very fair in pricing. I would recommend Rick without hesitation.
