I have to share my personal experience with the Birmingham VA Emergency Room. I knew i had kidney stones, i had gotten an ultrasound earlier that week at a private clinic. I called the VA ER to get some guidance with our unique circumstances. My husband is a disabled veteran & requires around the clock care/assistance. I am his caregiver as well as a veteran. I’m a disabled retired afghan vet I’ve been in this system for like 11 years I have never asked or botherd the VA through a lot of turmoil but the last few months my feet hurt so bad at night sometimes takes my breath away I don’t know what’s going on I’ve went to walk in clinic at red clinic finally got a podiatry appointment in line it’s a month away I can’t do this for a month I called up there cause I’m an hour away and I’m at a loss for words I am so greatful for my service to this country but free medical it’s like a f... read more
