Out of a dish we wanted to try. Rest was good. Desert was great.
I'm honestly getting tired of the Birchwood Cafe and their fake progressive bull****. They have a sign in front that says "Black Lives Matter" and I'm pretty sure only one person who is black actually works there. If black lives really did matter to them, then maybe they'd hire more black folks and people of color in general. Their staff is disproportionately white. My favorite cafe in Minneapolis. The food always fresh and yummy with lots of vegetarian options. The interior is cozy and modern and always very vibrant. Their sidewalk patio is pleasant on a sunny and warm day. They also go out of their way to have lots of bike parking and a Nice Ride station right out in front.
We had 8 of us come in, with dietary requests ranging from vegan, vegetarian, to meat eaters, and we all left with pleasantly full tummies. Delicious new tastes; happy, fun staff; and relaxed atmosphere. Great coffee too! I had the Vegetable Scramble and toast. Yum!! I'll definitely add this to my places to return to, list.
Some of the best food I've ever had. We were 16 at dinner and we're all coming back.
We were so impressed with this place. My husband had a burger and said it was the best he'd ever eaten. I thoroughly enjoyed the avocado turkey salad sandwich and the homemade fries! We'll be back!
