These people are literally always looking for an excuse to deny your eligibility. The best advice I can give new donors is to treat the staff like the police. Keep your mouth shut and if necessary....LIE. Do not disclose any medical condition to these people. Don't feel bad, they've built a culture that incentivizes this, and now they need to face the music. The older Spanish lady with curly hair that works in the front when you register is extremely rude and should not talk down to people. Not only did she talk this way to me but every person that I witnessed her speaking to. Grifols offers a service, and if they really cared about "life saving treatment" then they would make sure that there employees don't talk to people like this
I went here for the first time to try out donating and it was a good experience overall. The staff definitely seemed busy but were friendly and explained everything to me. The only confusing thing is the parking, so if you're going make sure you park in the visitors parking garage and then go up to the 3rd floor and there are parking spots designated for this place. Then you can go right in from there. At first I parked in the VA parking lot next to the building but that's not the right one!
