Scheduled an appointment for 11 am for my first donation, now its 11:50 and I’m still not even checked in. They asked me to see the same video twice. Asked me to read a binder and walked away. Update: It’s 12:10 and still nobody here. Ended up leaving at 12:40. Very rude and inefficient staff! Do not recommend going here.
The website lets new patients book appointments up until 630 PM, the process for a new person in-take takes hours. Please change the website and to take this fact into consideration instead of wasting people’s time
2 weeks ago I took the bus to Worcester (40 mins away) spent an hour and a half answering questions, got blood tested got all the way to the end of the physical just to be sent home because I had swollen salivary glands. (The tech on my first visit was very nice and very accommodating) I had to get a sign off from my doctor... So I did and faxed them the documentation... 5 days later I came back to donate. These people are literally always looking for an excuse to deny your eligibility. The best advice I can give new donors is to treat the staff like the police. Keep your mouth shut and if necessary....LIE. Do not disclose any medical condition to these people. Don't feel bad, they've built a culture that incentivizes this, and now they need to face the music.
