I have been donating since March of this year and I LOVE the staff, they make donating enjoyable and I also love that they play music in the background. Some days are busy but they always try to be nice and have a convo with you. The reason for 3 stars is because of the new machines, I hate them SO much. They are a lot quieter which is nice and smaller and I like the percentage screen so you can watch but towards the end right before you get the saline/fluids i have had the machine get “stuck”. I miss the old team. Not sure what happened to most of them but this new team struggles to stick me in a good vein, even their "best person" struggled a lot. Didn't have this problem with the previous team. It's also been a while so some of my stuff is expired so I have to do the exam again. Which is fine. Visited Grifols as a first time donor this weekend with my wife. The facility was clean upon entering, well organized, and professional. All staff interactions were positive, everyone was accommodating, thorough, professional, and knew how to navigate and troubleshoot various routine hangups that can occur during the process. The woman who did my medical intake and physical exam was very friendly and had excellent soft skills with new and returning donors. I plan on visiting here again soon when my schedule permits.
They went above and beyond in their efforts to ensure I wasn’t able to donate.
While I am very happy with the staff I am upset that the supervisor (Michael) called out a staff member on the floor for making a mistake which should have been handled behind closed doors. While the mistake did not endanger the safety of other donors it was inappropriate to announce on the floor. When a member makes a mistake it is hard enough but for everyone else (staff and clients) to hear they made the mistake just makes it worse.
