After carefully reading the reviews, I’ve decided to donate elsewhere. There should not be so many negative reviews on such a business involving blood donations.
Mind you this was a few weeks ago and corporate has done nothing to resolve the matter. I made a complaint after going into the center on “bring your kid to work day” as I didn’t feel it was appropriate for children to be on the floor of a facility that is being used for medical research, as well has being hooked into a machine with a 17 and 3/4 gauge needle. Never that busy. Usually in and out in about an hour. The front and back people are super friendly and always in a good mood. Ian and Em are the absolute best when they stick you. Mostly all of the people in the back are good at hitting the veins. Compensation could be better, but it's better than not donating and getting zero dollars.
This place is a complete ripoff! A few years ago it was actually worth donating there for extra money, but they have consistently paid donors less and less. They sell the plasma for $10,000.00 a bag and give the donors a measly $40.00 for donating. Additionally, there has been numerous times that I left there and found out they didn’t even pay me or paid me less than they were supposed to and I had to ho back to get it sorted out and get paid.
