About this business

In 1950, Dr. Jose Antonio Grifols Jr. was an early pioneer of the plasmapheresis technique, the process of extracting human plasma. This technique was embraced by the global medical community and remains one of the most frequently used plasma extraction processes. The donation process, or plasmapheresis, takes as little as 90 minutes and is performed using automatic equipment and other sterile, non-reusable materials in a plasma donation center. Collecting plasma is the first step in the process of making specialized protein... read more

I have donated many times in my life as my blood type is helpful for donations. I went today and they told me they need two irons in each arm. Is this because you blow veins out a lot. Based on your review I would say so. Life stream one vein every time and it’s a much more inviting environment. For a group who needs plasma during Covid you turned a potential repeat donor away!

Very nice staff. For first time visit, come early and make sure you have eaten a meal within the last 4 hours. Can take up to 6 hours to process first visitors. Do something nice for someone and feel good doing it.

She is fully ambulatory and walks up and down stairs all day long but they don’t think she can get up on the bed. If you didn’t see my braces there wouldn’t be a problem with there and the girl looked at her dumbfounded and didn’t ans... read more

4 stars. I had my first plasma donation appointment here today. The nurses and staff were all friendly and kind. No one seemed rushed or overworked. The facility is spotless and all the equipment looks new. My medical screening was done by an RN and it was very thorough. The procedure went smoothly and I had none of the side effects that they warn you about. However, it’s quite cold in the building. I would give them 5 stars except that I was freezing cold -no one did anything to help me get warmer despite my asking for a bl... read more
