They have been giving me the run around for 3 weeks after my doctor already approved me donating. Can't get a straight answer from anyone about why I can't donate yet. At my new donor physical they assured me it would be only a week before someone got back to me. Lies.
I haven’t been to biolife in 3 years... after getting a poorly trained phlebotomist who caused a large hematoma and then getting the talk about being barred from donating if it keeps occurring (like it’s my fault and not because the lady I got wrecked the vein in one arm and then pushed it straight through my vein in the other arm causing blood to leak into my arm), kind of turned me off to donating altogether. I absolutely love coming here! The staff are friendly and I’ve even gotten to know some of them pretty well since I’m in there twice a week � such a great way to give back and get a little extra cash �
Their tech botches my plasma donation resulting in a failed donation (and bruising of my arm) and I get punished for it with a failed donation slip and loss of any potential for a bonus on the second donation of the week because the first wasn't successful. Then I go in later on that week and try and can't donate because of the bruise they caused and not even compensated for wasting my time, sitting there for 20 minutes waiting on them. What a crock! For the most part the staff are great. However, they may want to think about retraining when it comes to bandage wrapping the arm. I have numerous accounts of poor wrapping where blood splatter all over me, my car, my coat etc
