My wife and I moved to Wells 4 years ago. We came from Cape Cod MA. We we're looking for a sea food Resturant. When we decovered Billy's it became our choice place. We have a lot of people here on weekends all year and Billy's has become their place also. Billy's is the only place to go. Food and service is great.
Ate here twice with my Father who was a regular for so many years.. and I see why..
Fried Clams we not very good this time around large bellies with sand and very greasy. Usually great they just missed the mark today. Baked haddock over cooked and dry. Oh well maybe next time but not till next year.
Disappointed last night. Upon being seated I asked the hostess to tell our waitress that it was my wife's Birthday and would like a piece of cake or something brought to the table at the end of our meal. I don't know who dropped the ball, but they forgot, after receiving our check, I went up front and asked again, several excuses where given, but the one that got me was "Well we have lots of birthdays here" You know what?? Great chowder....good food. We go there every year when we're in Maine.
Looks Fantastic, great atmosphere, Awesome food selection. Wish I were there right now.
Very friendly but horrible , slow service. Went on a Thursday night - would hate to see what happens on a busy night. Chowder and fried clams were good but scallops were way over cooked as well as haddock. Small portions for the $. Will not return.
Great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff , fresh seafood and daily specials, who could ask for more ! We eat here at least once a week.
