Excellent food, staff and ambiance. I make it a point to go here whenever I am in Bakersfield. My father also loves this place - so much so that whenever I'm on my way to San Diego I pick him up some take-out.
I've been eating there over fifty years. The atmosphere and the food take me back to my childhood. It multi generational in our family. Began with our parents. Then us kids. Then our children. Now grand children and even one great granddaughter. So much history. And a lifetime of wonderful warm memories.
Have gone every New Year's Eve except 1or 2 for over 20+ years. Service is good. Food on most part is usually hot. This last time though, the Fried rice was a little dry. I love the egg flower soup, shrimp and BBQ spare ribs. Over last 11 years, we also celebrate a birthday and waiter / waitresses are nice enough to offer a little gift for my child.
Been going here since I was in High school, 70's!! Love their almond duck! Taken my kids here for years. Keep up the good food and service!
