Took nearly an hour to get our food. It was cold and completely unsatisfactory. If you're going to bill yourself as the high end place in town, you should deliver on that promise. I guess if you cater to parents who will probably only visit their children a couple times while they are in school, you can serve them bad food at inflated prices, and wait for the next incoming class.
The room was great. The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend you come and see for yourself.

Wonderful venue! Had my son & daughter in law's rehearsal party here. The food was fantastic. Angela went out of her way to make this a special day for our family and friends! Thank you Angela and everyone involved at The Big Tree!
I moved from Geneseo 5 yrs ago. Jim and I would go down meet friends and eat dinner in the bar. Great place. I was taken to Big Tree the day I was legally adopted and had my first baked alaska. Long time ago.I am now moving to Baltimore. Good memories.

Beautifully restored Restaurant and Inn. The rooms are lovely. The food in the restaurant is very good. Can't say enough about this gorgeous building in Geneseo.
I've dined at the Big Tree Inn twice and I've had an excellent experience both times! The first time I had one of the best salads of my life with some great white wine. Just this week, we stopped after hiking and sat on the porch and enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Our food was delicious, my Malbec was amazing and our server was very sweet! I had to leave a comment. You all are doing a great job! Cheers.
