AVOID AT ALL COST OR IT WILL COST YOU. – I have for the last 3 years been upset at the design of my a/c system. I work as an Hvac Engineer/Designer. I currently have a 3 ton system and I ran I load through my system and it calculated 4 tons. I have let Big-Tex air know and Pioneer as well. They point fingers back and forth to where I get no answer. This year is very hot and my house no matter what the a/c is set at the house is constantly hot. Big Tex AC the BIG mistake – Purchased home 531 7.Upon move in realized areas of home werenotcooling. Call BTthey came out and could not find problem.Father took a look at the set up and told us that they did not zone the system properly. Called BT told them the problem.Jul AC went out on Frinight called BT on Sat AM AC fixed on Mon21/2 later inJuly. Days later AC went out again, smoking from the top of the unit. Bad workmanship, bad service – Big Tex Air was contracted by the builder of my home to install the a/c system. Six months after I bought the house (which was brand new), my a/c stopped working. The unit was leaking freon. Big Tex came out and said they fixed the problem. Two years later, my a/c stopped working again for the same problem. I called another a/c repair company. Terrible company - doesn't care about their customers – Terrible service. They have been out to our house countless times and have yet to actually fix our AC. They just put a band-aid on the problem and leave until next time. Sadly, we've been stuck with them since we are under a warranty through our builder. And Big Tex doesn't care either.
