About this business
The entire bar and restaurant is designed in dark, elegant wood with very stylish and comfortable furniture, chairs and booths--even the requisite fireplace--giving it a private club-like feeling. Beautiful multi-hued granite is used for the table tops and the bar, highlighting the overall design. The owner, Brett Anderson, (a lawyer, but we won't hold that against him) has done an excellent job of designing and furnishing the restaurant and has obviously spared no expense. RecommendedI ate here last night. Prime rib was spectacular. The service was excellent. The lemon cake was to die for and once again, I will say the best lobster tails in town. This place by far is my most favorite place to eat in town it’s five stars across the board. It honestly should be a Michelin rated top tier restaurant in the state of Iowa. Period. Oh, and did I mention how succulent the lobster tails are? If you haven’t been here go, it will change your life.

Great Prime Rib! The prime rib is delicious, the service is excellent. It is a small place and gets busy. It's definitely worth waiting for. Their house salad dressing is divine (parmesan and garlic)!
The Best Prime Rib in the Mid-West The Big Steer is excellent in service, selection, presentation and taste. Dining at it's best. The prime rib is outstanding, the best in the mid-west. This popular restaurant & lounge can get busy, but it is definately worth the short wait! Be sure to order onion rings!
good This place offers a small town atmosphere and great steaks (although pricey). This is a small restaurant and busy on the weekends so expect a wait if you go around dinner time. Also, the restaurant is quite smokey (cigarettes). This is a great place to eat for special occasions if you are looking for a good quality steak.
waitress was on her game, very friendly, great atmosphere and food was amazing tried my best to bribe for their clam chowder it was amazing.
