That's what Sundays are all about! Really good food and always good service. Can be a bit busy specially on game days, but I personally never a bad experience here. Try their memphis pork, or the combination plate of a little bit of everything, a game on the tube, and you have a match made in heaven. That's what Sundays are all about!

Good food Food is always very good at Big Nate's. This is why I keep coming back through the years. Last time I visited, the man behind the counter threw in a couple of short ends, after I begged for some. I'm a regular, by the way, so please do not ask for the same thing. I wouldn't want Big Nate's to go out of business. This was a one time thing, and the man was really sweet for doing it. Thanks.

Delicious BBQ My boyfriend and I decided to try out Big Nate's BBQ as he was craving meat. We stopped by Big Nate's and also ran into Nate Thurmond himself. He was friendly and welcoming. It is a small little restaurant, little expensive, but good food. The location is downtown and there is a little parking lot right next door. We did take-out but they also have a place for sit down and they deliver.

YUMMY! Big Nate's BBQ has been around forever. I love the ribs (with no sauce) and all the extras. When I lived in the city - I would make a special trip to Nate's for ribs. Thinking about it - I think I am going to make a special trip this week! And yes - Big Nate was there many times when I went in. He also has many pictures up in the restaurant.

Nate's has a great smoke sauce Being from eastern NC, I'm very picky when it comes to my bbq. While Nate's doesn't have that great pulled pork with a spicy vinegar sauce, it does have a great smokey sauce that really is delicious. Definitely go for the brisket and not the ribs. They really are too tough be be considered.

You might just see Big Nate Big Nate's is all about the potential to see Nate himself and the BBQ sauce. Nate's sauce is pretty great but doesn't always cover the fact that the meat can be a bit tough. I'm partial to ribs that slide off the bone - that's not the case here- but still good for a bbq fix at lunch occassionally. 1/2 size is good for lunch - beef brisket is a better bet than the pork ribs. About 5 tables, no ambiance - it's all about the ribs.
