This is our 3rd time coming to the water park in 4 years. My kids love it! They usually stay there 2-3 days at a time. We get a complimentary adult day pass per day of our stay & THIS is where it really pays off. They LOVE the surfing experience! They could stay at that one ride all day. They are now 14 & 16 so we can just drop them off & let them do their thing while the rest of us enjoy Destin. The 2 day pass is the best bet. A season pass only makes sense if you will be there 2+ days.
This was our first visit to Big Kahuna's, and I have to say I was pretty concerned when I saw all of the negative feedback. However, that was not our experience. We went on Memorial Day. The park was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. We did eat a picnic at our car, because of our past experiences with parks that don't allow outside food brought in, so I had limited experience with the food area, but we did get fries, and they were good. I went to the water park with a friend, and it was the first time for both of us. We truly had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. The park had all kinds of water attractions which were easy to find. The weather was absolutely perfect for us to enjoy. When we first got there, we went to get a locker for our belongings to put our belongings in. We had trouble trying to pay, but two ladies were happy to help. Unfortunately, I didn't catch their names. We will definitely be going back whenever we have some more time.

I am rating the park so low based on guest services. We waited and hour and a half in line to receive our season passes. I do not understand why it takes so long to take pictures and print them out on cards. We went online and filled out our information. You should be able to go up to the window, give them the necessary papers, take a picture and be done! It was unbelievably hot and the children were miserable. They did nothing to compensate for our time lost. A free drink or anything would have been nice. Part of the reason... read more
