I went to Big John's PFI today and got spices I've never even heard of! I will be back many times and I will tell my friends about this wonderful store! You guys are the best!
If you are new to Seattle you should know that this has been the secret happy place for food lovers for years. The cheese counter should have a mirror at the end because it seems endless in one's mind. Great table wines, pasta AISLES, and obscure things you're used to finding in specialty New York delicatessens. Finding it is challenge but it's so worth it. (Then you can act like an old-timer with gleeful pride.)
Outstanding selection and great prices. Now that we know where you are we'll be back more often. Love that Truffle Pecorino Cheese. It's going in the omelette tonight!

Great selection of bulk spices and dried ingredients at reasonable prices. Extensive meat and cheese counter along with an excellent selection of bulk olives. Remember to bring your own jar or container.
