The best breakfast I've ever tasted! The environment gave a sense of old country time and the service provided is awesome.
Enjoyed an omelette, home fries and grits...the spiced apples were awesome at the end of the meal. Top notch food and service. Home made buttermilk biscuits are best ive ever had.
Big Ed's is a Raleigh staple. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. The service is great. This is good'ol country food. Biscuits are light and fluffy...or covered in gravy. Pancakes take up the entire plate. I think if you can manage to eat three entire pancakes you get a t-shirt! The wait staff will call you "darlin'", "sweety", or some other pet name. They make you feel like you are home.
I definitely like this place! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are friendly! The food was very good also the portion sizes are big man friendly! Definitely going back!
