I was most disappointed by our recent experience here. I was born at this hospital, as were my brothers, and lived in its shadow until I went to college--meaning we all visited the ER and were relatively high consumers of its services and even fed staff at the Tail O' the Pup where we all worked as kids. I was admitted in 2014 for an emergency surgery, stayed for a week, and had amazing care. With this background, I thought my father would be well cared for when he was in following a stroke. This hospital is located in one of the best areas in Los Angeles — a beautiful and convenient location. It’s a large facility with excellent service. Surprisingly, the main entrance doesn’t look as impressive as the rest of the hospital, but inside, everything is clean, organized, and well-maintained. A friend of mine was hospitalized there for over a week, and during my visits, I was very pleased with how professional and caring the staff were.
