Do not go to this doctor is you are overweight or considered obese. No class whatsoever. Spending 10 minutes in a room with a patient and fat shaming them is a disgrace. Also telling them that normal ultrasounds are harder and that they will be mostly vaginal is a flat out lie. I also did not receive any information my first visit about anything other than I need to diet and exercise.
Betsy’s office is the best. She delivered both my children and took great care of me every step of the way. The office is warm and everyone is friendly and does a fantastic job!
Dr August did bloodwork on me for genetic testing during my second trimester. I insisted that all tests done must be covered by my insurance. I am pretty sure she knows that these test are not covered by insurance carriers because the carrier wrote me an explanation saying that there is no scientific basis for running these tests, and that they do not pay for it. One of her bills was for $489.00. The insurance company said the allowed charges are $409.00. They refuse to correct this. Nightmare!
Do not use this doctor. Does whatever she wants. Doesn't listen to patience. After I told her not to break my water she did it anyway. She ahould not be practicing medicine.
