I went to the ER Sunday with constant vomiting and severe pain. Despite my symptoms, I was told my labs were “normal” and was not given pain relief or imaging. My sister-in-law had to advocate just to get me medicated. No scans were done. On Wednesday, I went to a different ER where scans were taken immediately. I was admitted and had my gallbladder removed. The doctors stated that my condition was serious and confirmed that coming in when I did likely prevented things from getting worse.
