@Marriott, you pledged to be 100 percent cage-free by 2015, but it’s 2018 and you still allow animal abuse in your supply chain! I used to enjoy staying at Marriott hotels, but I will not book with another Marriott until you follow through with your 100 percent cage-free pledge!

Business response:

Hello, Rob. We at the Bethesda Marriott use 100% cage-free eggs and egg products. Marriott is dedicated to responsible food and product sourcing as well as animal welfare and has committed to sourcing 100% of our eggs (shell, liquid, and egg products) from cage-free sources throughout our global operations for all owned, managed and franchised properties by the end of 2025. How could you have committed to become 100% cage-free by 2015 and not have implemented that three years later? It is unacceptable. The hens in your supply chain deserve better. Please commit to and follow through on a global 100% cage-free policy. Until then, I will be boycotting Marriott Hotels and encouraging my friends and family to not step foot in your facilities.
