My mother was in worse shape when she left then before she went in to this hospital. She didn't live more then an hour after being transfered out of there. The staff is rude and pointless. They did not care for her. She didn't get bathed. The administration has a hard time talking to family and keeping them informed. They treat you like you are a waste of their time. My mother's doctor cursed at me. This place is a joke. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
My 51 year old brother needed intensive hi involved care for a long period of time (months) due to a difficult & complicated situation. We can't say enough good about the staff & overall team work & excellence of care here. They also welcomed our family support & visiting (frequent). Between the hospitals & Bethesda, my brother is now moving to the transitional care scenario. Thank you for all you did for him!
From my struggle comes my strength. Bethesda's outpatient concussion clinic was part of my struggle. Although they provided no help to me and probably made me worse, I am stronger now because I know that they are completely worthless. If you have a concussion/post-concussion syndrome/brain injury, DO NOT go there. See a NUCCA chiropractor.
My father was at Bethesda hospital for 26 days. During his time there they took good care of him in mind, body and spirit. They learned about him as a person and kept his mind active with classical music, visits from aides who spoke French and Arabic with him-which he loved. He was content and felt very safe in their care despite his tendency to get anxious. The communication with staff was timely.
