very unprofessional hospital not sure how the RNs are actually RNs. when my mother-in-law asked for a hot pack before they stuck in the IV because she is a hard stick, the nurse told her that a hot pack would take too long, and after four tries they ended up calling the anesthesiologist to come and put in the IV and guess what? he used a hot pack
Hospital treated me for covid, pneumonia and afib. I was in bad shape. Was in icu a few days. Received excellent care. Nurses helped me at push of a button day and night. Would sometimes call 3-4 times a night. Nurse there quickly. Can’t say enough good about the nurses. What impressed me is a lot of nurses were from out of state. Respiratory therapists great for most part. Food actually pretty good. Had killer pot roast one meal. Got a nice send off when released. No jet fly over, but got to ring a bell. My Father was dying of colon cancer there. I had an inflamed appendix removed when I was 14 years old there. A family hospital.
My father-in-law had a brain injury that required surgery and resulted in repiratory failure. He spent 6 weeks here and got awesome care, getting iff all ventilation and feeding tubes. Communication with family was great.
the staff got me thru a horrible time in my life. they treated me so well and many found time to spend with me when I needed someone.
6 years ago my husband came to Bethesda after a hemorrhagic stroke. When we arrived he was on a ventilator in a semi- conscious state. After a month of VERY intensive therapy we were able to go home with a walker and no respiratory issues. The staff there were some of the most compassionate, caring, knowledgeable individuals I have ever had the pleasure to meet. My husband and I will forever be grateful to Bethesda
To say it politely this place has ruined my life . From loss of property , money , prescription drugs, and even my wheelchair , “ not to mention almost the loss of my life “, ( giving blood thinners up to the hr of a major surgery ) it is no wonder that this place is up for investigation and cannot keep any decent American speaking staff .
