I had a cardiac ablation done and my pre-op nurse in the cath lab Pauline was amazing. I came out of my procedure and had another awesome post op nurse whose name was Sue. I was then transferred to a newer unit in the hospital called CDAC in Deaconess 1 and i was greeted by Suzanne who was my nurse until 7pm and then Betsy came on and she was amazing as well, all night i was left alone unless i needed something and my vitals were checked one time. Come to find out this wing only has 6 beds which i think is amazing for post o... read more

I love them. Sometimes they get really busy but once they get a chance to see the patient (my 79 year old mother) they take good care of her

The worst place, to be, no respect for human beign, the doctor elizabeth dunn should never practice medicine, on the 8th floor there's only doctors that care only to have you take unneccessary tests for the insurance to pay the hospital. Honest, i will die but no one in my family will ever be in his hospital again.

I can't say enough good things about the 185 Pilgrim Rd. BIDMC nursing department on the Neuro ICU step down floor. ( Farr 6) They were extremely thorough and proficient, as well as 'above and beyond' caring, compassionate, and approachable. As scary as the experience was, it was sooo much easier and positive because of the kind and dedicated staff. My grateful thanks to each and every one of them.

Dr. Umesh Metkar saved my life last October 19, 2016 and has continued to moniter my condition. He is an orthopedic spine surgeon who removed an abcess near my brain stem. Obviously, a lot of my bone in the back of my neck had to be removed for him to remove the abcess. The infection had spread through my body. I lost feeling and could have been paralyzed. My family was told I was very close to dying. Since my long ordeal with rehabilitation and a second surgery to put bone from c2 to t1 and titanium nuts and screws, I am ba... read more

Clueless no hearts killed my grandmother! They didn't figure out what was wrong with her, they just kept her for 3 weeks without knowing or figuring out anything, sent her to rehab and then when her blood pressure got low, she was rushed back over and then they were too late and didn't even bother doing anything until it got too critical

I was recently diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. A cerebral angiogram was recommended with a possible brain surgery to follow in upcoming months. Dr. Ogilvy performed the cerebral angiogram at BIDMC about a week ago. I am more than pleased with Dr. Ogilvy and the staff at BIDMC. The staff is professional and extremely nice. They made me feel so comfortable before, during, and after my procedure. Dr. Ogilvy is caring, down-to-earth, and couldn't be nicer. He is a wealth of knowledge with many, many years of neurosurgery experi... read more

Having been here since approximately 18:30 Tuesday May 30th, I have had a chance to meet several of the staff, cannot say enough good about any of them! This was my 1st time admitted into a hospital (at 49 years old) and I don't have words to explain how well, I feel, they took care of me. Please pass on to the staff, & more importantly to the administration of BIDMC, my my well deserved "thank you", for a fantastic job done! I will miss them!
