Room was comfortable, bed was very comfortable, staff were attentive.
The room was clean, and roomy. It fit 4 people- two adulte, two teens. The rate was good. $304 for two night. The hotel has a nice pool, a modest fitness room and a big plus, a buffet breakfast that is included in the room rates. It is located about 12 miles from the national zoo and the rest of the attractions in Washington DC
Have stayed here on many occasions on business. Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable. Front desk is exceptionally helpful - ask for Sandra or Julia and you won't be disappointed about check-in process. The included breakfast is very nice and a step up from many other hotels I have stayed at.
My son (8 years old) and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days last week on a sightseeing trip to DC. The room itself was entirely adequate and I can't think of anything significant that fell short of my expectations, in fact, some things exceeded my expectations. The bed was very comfortable and there is a fairly large refrigerator and microwave. BW Fairfax was more than adequate for our needs. Our main purpose was to visit DC easily by Metro and stay in comfortable, moderately priced lodging. This place fit the criteria adequately.
Clean and neat
This is an older style hotel where your hotel door opens to the outside. I kind of like it that way. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The last time I stayed there, I forgot something back in the room. I called the hotel and spoke with Julia and explained what happened. Stayed at this hotel weekly when commuting to George Mason. In town this time for business and it maintains its comfortable, "homey" atmosphere with ample parking, large rooms, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend for business; easy commute to DC; metro stop only one exit away.
Beds were comfy and clean. The breakfast was really good with a large breakfast area so it didn't get overly crowded. The small pool had a lifeguard which was very unexpected and would be great for families with little children. I would stay here again.
