Very clean, great friendly staff with good recommendations for the area, felt safe
Not the best place to stay for a vacation but I guess it's okay in a pinch or for work. The location is in close proximity to Arcata but you have to drive into town. There are a lot of dodgy people hanging at the hotel and at the shops in the area. The rooms have thin walls and are pretty outdated. I smelled strong weed smoke from the neighboring room and heard them talking all night. Probably wouldn't come back unless there were no other options.
I am so incredibly surprised! It has been years since I last stayed at a Best Western, but this experience totally changed my perspective. The hotel was absolutely perfect for our needs. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, providing the perfect home base for our trip. I was also impressed by the laundry facilities—they were super clean and easy to use.
