My husband and I bought 2 cell phones in the Va.Beach best Buy location. We are seniors and shuffled along, paying for data transfer which we did not get.  We were very frustrated trying to complete the task that we paid for. The following was my experience at Best Buy purchase on 4/5/2025: 1. The store was supposed to open at 10 am. I reached the car park at 9.45 am and waited but the gates were opened at 10.05 am 2. The staff including the store manager lacked courtesy. This word did not exist in their dictionary. 3. I am a handicapped 73 years old man. Overcharged for services not delivered. Needed an OS reinstall to fix a wifi issue, the stated charge was $99.99. I told them exactly what the problem was and what need to be done. Charged me a diagnostic fee, virus removal and corrupt OS repair totaling $249.99, none of which was done. The only thing done was an OS reinstallation (which I could have done myself but I was out of town and my wife needed the computer). Made an appointment as requested per their website for a phone repair. We pay the annual Geek Squad repair fee is why we wanted to take the phone to Best Buy. Even though we had an appointment, we had to stand i line and wait almost 20 minutes to speak with a representative. Explained that the phone would not charge. Phone was taken back for less than 3 minutes for a diagnostic report. Representative came back that the I phone was an older model (6S) and that updates need to be made. I was looking around in the electronic department for about 20 minutes and not one salesperson asked if I need any assistance. Not at all happy with my experience at this Schaumburg location. I notice everyone was by the televisions. I will not be returning to this store in the future!!!
