One of the best decisions my husband & I made when relocating to San Antonio 11 yrs ago upon retirement was to find Dr. Bernstein (known as Dr. B). Wonderful I came out feeling he is the right doctor for me
My husband & I have been patients & fans of Dr. B for about 10 years; we feel he provides excellent care. He is thorough, asks questions, orders timely shots & tests, and spends time listening. He doesn't hesitate to refer us to specialists when needed (we have several health issues), and reviews their feedback to oversee our comprehensive health. I appreciate that he takes his time during appointments and demonstrates personal caring for us both. He answers my Patient Portal emails, too!
I saw Dr Eric Bernstein 3 years ago for a routine office visit. 3 years later I am being billed over $80 for that visit. I have Medicare and Humana insurance. I paid the $15 co pay at the time of the visit. I have asked his billing department to double check this bill. I am told, I do owe the money, even though it was 3 years ago with no billing, until a recently. This seems an unusual practice to me. I would not recommend this Dr services.
Dr and staff extremely cordial and go the extra mile to help resolve intricate health problems. The doctor is caring and LISTENS to you. Very knowledgeable and spends time explaining proposed procedures and results of those procedures.
New Patient consultation. Very arrogant! He had prejudged and determined who he thought I was before he walked in the room. My health history indicated I had a serious surgery for which narcotics were prescribed. Have not had a RX for any med in nearly a year. I have not taken this med in 10 months. I now take no med. Despite this, he was very suspicious . Trust goes both ways. A healthcare professional gathers data and asks questions before making assessments. Key word being PROFESSIONAL.
Dr. Bernstein is an excellent doctor. He takes time to answer any and all questions presented to him. I have had several procedures at his office, and ALL of his people at his practice are professional and easy to talk to. Going to his office for anything is a joy. His waiting room is very pleasant...NOT a TV blaring children's movies continually.
If you have back issues or joint issues don't go here. All you will get is a referral. They can't help you at all and treat you like a pain seeker. I constantly get hung up on and never call back.
