Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Our first experience at Bern's Steakhouse was awesome!! Our waiter was wonderful, the food was delicious, as we toured the kitchen, they were so kind in taking our son around the area to take pictures and the dessert room was incredible. We were extremely impressed and were so glad we went. Thank you Bern's!!!!!!!! �
The experience was nice but the food was just satisfactory...nothing special. If I'm paying for a $50 steak, I expect it to be cooked properly (half was medium, half was medium rare) and it lacked seasoning. Just was not impressed.
Great meal, great service. The tour of the kitchen and wine cellar was neat. Dessert was fantastic.
Classic 1950s steakhouse. As they say, "if it isn't broken why fix it?" The service is impeccable. The food is comforting in that it never really changes. If you went there as a child for a birthday it will be just as you remembered it with all the classics including twice baked potatoes, aged steaks and baked Alaska. Thank goodness there are still some things you can count on!
We celebrated my in-laws 50th anniversary last. The food was exceptional. Our waiter was extremely attentive and when told him our aunt and uncle only spoke Slovenian, he went and got another waiter who spoke Croatian (which is similar) to talk to them.

Amazing and unique experience. The best part of it all: the human capital; especially the waitress!!
Relaxed, sophisticated atmosphere with the highest attention to perfection of food preparation and service. I recommend the tour of kitchen and wine cellar to fully appreciate the experience, followed by dessert upstairs in the dessert parlor. This was a Mother's Day treat from my son and granddaughter I will remember!
The food is great. The service impeccable. Then you have a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar, both unbelievable. Not finished!!!! After which you go upstairs for the amazing dessert experience. Never have I seen such a unique seating arrangement. It's an experience to be shared with a small group of friends. Not a truly romantic place but who needs romance when there is so much stimuli all around. By the way, the wine menu is 176 pages but they have a condensed version.
