Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Lived up to all the hype. Amazing experience and equally amazing food.
What an amazing dining experience. The steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious, the appetizers and soups were extraordinary, but the highlight would have to be the desert room. The tour of the kitchen and wine cellar was an unexpected treat, and another favorite memory of the evening. I highly recommend a visit to Berns if you have the chance, definitely one of Tampa's gems!
If you are EVER in Tampa and want a unique dining experience, do yourself a favor and head to Bern's Steakhouse. Situated on a unique property, and including one of the most comprehensive wine lists anywhere, the service, food and decor will remain with you long after the calories have been digested! Once your main meal has been consumed, head to the Harry Waugh room for one its cubicles and check out the dessert menu to end all dessert menus!

We had a wonderful time at Bern's but what made it even better was our waiter.. he just made the experience that much better..
We enjoyed our first visit to Bern's last night. We were celebrating my son's 21st birthday! After we were seated, we were greeted by our wonderful server, Davor! He was so patient and kind and he guided us through the menu and answered any questions we had. I would just like to thank him again for making our celebration a memorable one! Berns, it’s a fantastic old school steakhouse. If you’ve never been you’re missing out. Plan on spending a couple hours so you can head to a desert room after dinner and enjoy a nice port and desert. Oh and don’t forget to set up a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar!
Probably the toughest steak we ever ate in our lives. Service was horrible! So disappointed!
