Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Very disappointed, my wife and I have been to 4 of the top 10 steak houses in the U.S. Bern's is listed 3rd behind Cut and Peter Luger's, not even close, service was average, bill was over 300 dollars, which I do not mind for top service and food. My wife's steak was undercooked and the manager treated me like I did not know the difference between rare and medium well. Wine and kitchen tour was really amazing, but I would not go back. Overall, very unsatisfactory.
The best meal/ experience I had in since I can remember dinner dessert the tour if I had more stars I would give them more.
RecommendedWent here for a birthday. It is fantastic, the waiter was great. We went on the tour of the kitchen and wine cellar. The desert room is a must! Look forward to going back!
My partner and I ate at Bern's for the first time on Easter! We loved every part of the restaurant! In fact we loved it so much, that we came back just to get dessert the next night! If you are ever in Tampa,FL you need to check out this restaurant! Already have plans to go back!
Fabulous as always! Enjoyed having Easter dinner with my Son Carlos Cuervo and daughter in law Shelby Miller along with some good friends Chris and his mother Peggy!
This place is great. I make it a point to come here any time I am in the Bay Area. I have been to all the top NYC steakhouses as well as many other good ones around the country and this one is by far my favorite bar none. You won't find a better overall experience!
Any place that ages and cooks thier steaks the way Bern's does must be the closest thing to heaven on earth.
