The worst medical practice I have ever had the misfortune of seeing. The staff is intensely rude. Dr. Bernad is a nice guy. I don't think he has a clue when it comes to his staff. I felt I was way overcharged for ' administrative fees' such as letters and documents.Anyway, Maria, Heather, Kelly, and especially John are the worst.

One of the best things about the alexandria location is that it has free parking. The staff is very friendly and professional. Heather and Stephanie keep the front desk running smoothly. Dr. Bernad always listens to my concerns and makes sure that I understand the treatment plan. Few doctors nowadays pay such close attention to the patient! Dr. Bernad is well known and respected among his peers.

This is like going to a public clinic. You wait over an hour only to be stuck in a room with students probing and prodding. After an hour the doctor comes in and asks the same questions again. The doctor then talks in a non-sensical manner asking very strange intimate and personal questions not relevant to the diagnosis and then starts sharing things such as what book he is reading (which is not relevant to any of my medical conditions or our conversation). He was focused on keeping the appointment to exactly the appointed 20 minutes then diagnosed my daughter with narcolepsy while standing at the front desk while checking out, after having forgotten to review the results of her sleep study during the appointment while in his office. He gave a quickly written prescription then showed us the door.

He doesn’t listen. I was talking to him explaining my symptoms, but he was staring at my son sitting across the room on his game. Not even the same direction as where I was. I asked what he told me meant about my test results and he said the same thing over again instead of explaining. I asked him what that meant, and again he repeated the same thing instead of using non medical terms to explain. Dr. Bernad will order every test they can do at his office whether you need it or not so that he can can make as much money off of your condition as possible. If your condition likely needs another specialist such as an ENT doctor he won't refer you until his office has made as much money off of your condition as possible.

I went to him because of sleep apnea. I am so glad to finally have a doctor that listens and answers my questions. He is very thorough and he does NOT rush you. I was very impressed with his staff at the Alexandria office. They are professional , friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr Bernad for his experience and respect towards his patients. The few times I have been there I have seen how pleased his patients are as they checkout. I brought my husband in as well and again, we received excellent treatment.

I found Dr. Bernard to be open, kind, respectful, articulate, intelligent, and patient! ‘Nuf said. I would recommend him highly.
