Stranded in the middle of the road today in Crowfield and needed a hub for the boat trailer. Berkeley Outdoors Marine would not assist because they were “in the middle of an inventory”. ???? Being desperate after going to 4 different stores my husband begged for assistance in getting the replacement. They would not help. Finally someone in the store told him to go to Westbury Hardware. They were phenomenal!! Thanks Westbury Hardware! We will NOT be returning to Berkeley Outdoors Marine for any of our boating needs.
RecommendedTheir service department. On September 14, 2020 while camping went to put our boat in the water and it started then quit. Called Berkeley and they said bring it in. We dropped the boat off. Sept 26th they called told us what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Then they called us back an hour or so and said the fuel pump needed to be replaced and was back ordered. I bought a new Basstracker boat that has leaked from day one. I took it back in May and it has been at Berkeley since that time. It’s now September. I called Saturday and was told they have no idea why it’s been there for 4-5 months and Greg would call me on Tuesday. It’s now Friday and still no answer. Contacted Basstracker Corp. They suggested I take it to a certified Basstracker service center. Guess who they recommended...Berkeley Outdoors. This is insane.
I bought a new tracker 800sx. It had 5 hours on it and the front differential and transmission started making a noise. The noise would come and go so I called them to let them know. I was told to keep riding it. I didn’t think that was a good answer but I did what they told me to do. It didn’t stop so I called them back and they told me the best tech they had to work on them was in monks corner. A 4 hour drive one way for me. We bought a brand new 2019 tahoe 1950 and have had major problems. the ONLY reason we bought brand new was to get a warranty for 2 years. well apparently the "top to prop" warranty doesn't cover anything. within 15 months our wheel bearing caps blew out (all 4 of them), and they told us they were overfilled even though we never touched them. seats ripped, trolling motor battery went bad, and the second time we ever had it out on the water the foot locked up.
