Elegance personified. This is not "punch you in the face" overly stuffed experience. It's a perfectly orchestrated and almost "light" 20 -ish courses of "American" food: Asian inspired, sake & wine.
Try Lobster xiao long bao with black Vinegar and house-made soy sauce, Barbecued Wolfe Ranch quail with XO sauce and steamed bao black truffle cream & Sonoma Creamery milk pudding with salted caramel
The 7 small plates are really memorable. Great attentive staff.
We love this place and the food! People are friendly and attentive. We had a great time enjoying each cuisine.
Loved everything!! https://www.gennysgrubclub.com/bay-area/benusf
Absolutely amazing experience! The attention to detail was insane. Eveything was very intentional. Beautiful.
This restaurant earns its three Michelin stars. Creative, precise dishes with a heavy but not exclusive focus on East Asia. The tasting menu, as you'd expect from a high-end restaurant, has a lot of little items, and not one of them was a disappointment. Service is super attentive, perhaps a little too much so.
Asian soul food with modern techniques
Each tasting item has a very unique flavor that's hard for other restaurants to copy it. It's difficult to use words to describe the taste. Generally, the food is soft and moist. Very friendly, extraordinary attentive waitstaff. 2 suggestions: 1) lesser wait time between each iasting item 2) transparent with wines menu
