Food is great. Prices are fantastic. Belinda is by far one of the best servers and sweetest women we've ever experienced. Remembered our group from 18 months ago and was so excited to see us walk in and greeted each of us with a smile and a hug. She will always and forever be the hidden gem in the shithole of Jacksonville. We all love you Belinda!
Took 10 mins to seat us in an almost empty restaurant. Lump crab cake was great. Our food came out, everything was fried in old grease. My wife order mashed potatoes, after 15 mins, the waitress said they were out and not cooking any extra. After all this bad service, we could hear the waitress talking about us in the back. The manager never came out to speak about our experience. This was a horrible ending for a great anniversary weekend. We will not return.
Although they weren't overly busy, we waited over 40 minutes yesterday for our food (because the waiter forgot our order). We mentioned to the waiter after 25 minutes, we needed our order soon as we were attending a show. He said,"Everyone arrived at the same time" then added as he walked off, "You aren't the only ones here." We ended up leaving without being served our food so we wouldn't miss the show at the Times-Union building. Got Cajun Combo. Mahi Mahi overcooked. Veggies undercooked. Shrimp and Scallops ok. Server was very punctual and was very personable.
Ordered Chicken Piccata it was mostly pasta and very little (4OZ max} Chicken !it was tasty but at $17 for the dish I got barely $2 Dollars worth of food the ran 12% food cost ! Also my companion gots wedge of lettuce salad ! For that quarter of a head of lettuce they charged $ 9.00 (a head of lettuce cost barely a dollar , they are selling it ,four servings at $9.00 , for $36.00 ) on a Sat evening (around 7PM)the place was 80% empty ! Maybe the public has figured out that dining here is a very poor Value !
