I had an unplanned microdiscectomy for L5-S1 on 7/9/26. Dr. Bjerke was attentive and reassuring on surgery day and every day after. I felt immediate relief waking up from surgery. The first two weeks were slow, but progress came quick. Stay mobile, hydrate, rest, repeat. I walked a 5k just after 5 weeks post op! He is absolutely, hands down, the best surgeon. The care and time he sends with his patients is amazing. His office staff are so friendly and supportive. He would be the one I would take my family to, he is that great.
