I had a lateral spine fusion by Dr. Benjamin Bjerke on January 31, 2025, and couldn’t be happier with the results. The pain from my spinal stenosis and slipped disc came on suddenly with severe sciatica pain that I had never experienced before. It got so bad that I had to have my husband take me to the ER. I have pain in my lower back and my primary care physician wanted me to see a specialist. So instead of seeing a 1 star reviewed doctor. I decided I would call a 4.8 star doctor. I guess I was wrong should have went to the 1 star. My appointment was scheduled at 230 I arrived at 2 in case I had new patient paperwork. I was not called back to a room until almost 3. Dr Bjerke is an outstanding doctor. He surpasses many doctors not only because of his immense surgical skills, but also because of his genuine concern for his patients and his excellent communication skills. He always had time to answer questions and explain the procedures. I felt completely confident I had a very good layman understanding of the procedures to be done and the expected outcome prior to the surgery.
