Dr. Amis is a fantastic care provider. He's is a genuinely caring doctor. He takes his time to review your options thoroughly & takes a non-invasive approach first, using surgery only as a last option. Although I've not needed to have surgery yet & cannot speak to his surgical outcomes, I've heard from referrals that he's among the best orthopedic surgeons in town. His office staff are professional & courteous, always on-time, and very easy to work with. Highly recommend Dr. Amis and ATX Orthopedics!
Dr. Amis surgically repaired the base of my index finger which was torn in a woodworking project. He explained the procedure and outcome fully and answered all of my questions. He is a highly skilled and professional surgeon. I highly recommend him.
I consulted with Dr. Amis on a case of Dupuytren's disease. It was a complicated situation as I had a surgical procedure that was'nt successful. I was hoping Dr. Amis might perform a revision. I am a pianist and the state of my hands are of paramount importance. Dr Amis spent a lot of time in piecing together the clinical picture. Dr. Amis was highly professional and proficient in evaluating my hand injury. His attention to planning and caring for my hand injury was very welcomed. I have complete trust in his judgement and skills.
The visit was brief because the issue at hand was brief; I have seen Dr. Amis twice for my right elbow. He gave me written instructions for how to care for my right elbow, and encouraged me to come back if I needed to.
Dr. Amis is caring and patient. He takes the time to answer all your questions. You can tell he has genuine care for his patients and that, in today's medical field, is unfortunately rare. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Amis has worked with me to try every option in his toolkit to treat my extreme case of SNAC wrist. He has even pointed me toward other experts around the country in case I want to go further. While we haven't experienced success, I appreaciate how he has worked with me to try all options.
