Benioff Children's E.R. knows how to deal with people with autism. My son, Paul, has meltdowns and can become very aggressive. On April 20th, he became aggressive at the UCSF Dental Clinic and, faced with a 2.5 hour drive with home from San Francisco to the Salinas area, I brought him to the Benioff E.R. The entire staff, doctors, nurses, technicians, security, social worker, not to mention the county staff that evaluated my son, were all compassionate, efficient, and professional. We just came home Thursday after being at Benioff for a little over three weeks. My daughter underwent a very risky brain surgery. She is doing amazing!! I am so thankful for all the staff that took care of my girl. Everyone including the docs, nurses, PCA's and even the wonderful chaplains( one who came to talk with my daughter because our family dog had to be put down during our stay). I really can't say enough:)
