I want to thank the men and women behind this top notch product, and standard setting services after purchase. I was given a black auto blade, as a gift from my Chief, while deployed to the Middle East in 2006. Needless to say this knife was a sentimentality important part of my 10 year military service. Just sent in an AFCK benchmade folder, that I've had for close to 20 yrs, in for repairs and resharpening. It was my first quality knife and has seen a lot of miles being my work knife and EDC. All free of charge, Benchmade shipped it..very fast I might add..back to me looking like it came right out of the box new and they even replaced the worn out clip screws and oiled/tightened it up! I've had my 950 Rift for a little over 18 months now. When I first got the knife I would have given a 4 star rating. Quality was fantastic, but my blade wasn't 100% perfectly centered. Stock sharpness was great though and edge retention was also the best I've ever experienced with the 154CM steel. Over about a year the razor edge turned to a "just good and sharp" edge and I wanted to try to sharpen it. My "Doug Ritter" Mini Griptilian has been a workhorse for the past 5 years accumulating a good amount of dings and nicks.. I finally sent in my Ritter for their lifetime sharpening and Benchmade did an awesome job not only sharpening but really cleaning up the whole knife. Thanks, Joe
I would rate my experience with six stars if I could! I recently sent a knife in for repair and was contacted by Mr. Dale Scott with the news that during the repair process the tech discovered that since my knife was discontinued so long ago there were no parts left in their shop to make the repair with. I guess a lesser company would have sent me the broken knife with a "sorry about your luck" letter. Hasn't let me down yet
I was issued a Benchmade 9100 series my first tour in Iraq in 2004. It has since been on 2 more tours to Iraq with me, a tour in Korea, and other places around the world. I have had several pocket knives in my life, but none have even came close to being everything my Benchmade has been to me. It has been my go to knife for over a decade. I can't imagine carrying anything else.
