I placed an order for a custom Griptilian which was subsequently canceled by customer service. I am not the only one who had this issue and it is currently a hot topic on knife forums. There was no communication from Benchmade. I own 3 Benchmade knives, and now I will never own another. You lost a customer for life, and I am not the only one. I was even willing to look past your lax quality control on high price point knives and fix issues myself. This was the last straw.
RecommendedFirst let me say that I use my EDC for EVERYTHING from opening cans to splitting wood, the only thing you could imagine me doing with this knife that I wont do is turn a screw. If I had any better of an experience in owning this knife, customer service and daily use it would come with a happy ending just from flipping open the blade.. Second to none in its class and the M4 stays sharp for months at a time with heavy use.
I made a negative comment about benchmade knives and one of their employees started threatening my family and posted my home address and employment online. Not too happy with threatening actions by one of this companies representative. I take treats seriously.
Had mine for 38 days. This will be the second time I’ve had to send it in. First time wouldn’t stay closed, now doesn’t want to open. If you pay that much for a knife you expect it to function longer than 1/2 the time you’ve owned it. Just got off the phone with customer service she didn’t want to send a shipping label. 😂 said the first label is a courtesy😒. If it breaks on you within the first 2 weeks of owning it use your shipping label wisely...
I have a prototype of the Anthem and it’s incredibly well build! Also had the crazy privilege to meet and get to hangout with Les DeAsis he shared about what made this knife so special! I’ll always remember that day... got a chance to chat and get to know Les what a kindhearted and special person he was!
