Have used Apex Golden Anniversary irons 3-E with Dynamic Gold S300 shafts since 2003. I have been playing since 1963 and these are by far the most beautiful clubs I have ever used. You can tell their quality just by holding them before using them
I've gamed these irons since the pre order arrived early April. All I can say is fantastic clubs. Not only forgiving but the precision is spot on. A well struck shot flies the same distance time after time. Easy to take a bit off to give up five yards. One question I get from others that swing my sticks... I ordered these standard lie and length. All think they are about two degrees flat. Is this the IMOs jacking with the lie angles in the modern clubs and Kohler just righting the ship? Fantastic irons & wedges, I've only had mine for just over a month, but I really like them, the Wedges & short irons are so accurate with great feel, the longer irons take a little bit longer to get used to. The way my set is now, I feel like I have an extra club in my bag, the equal gaps throughout the set are how all clubs should be made.
Took these out for the first time yesterday to south suburban GC. Hit 16 of 18 greens, 16 pars, 1 bogey and 1 Brodie for even par. These were awesome to play with and the ball flight was perfect. I have never seen improvement in my game on the first round with a new set of clubs until now. These are going to stay in the bag for quite a while.
