Fifty years ago, Dr. A.C. Brown opened the doors to Beltsville Veterinary Hospital and saw his first clients. A native Marylander with a rural background, Dr. Brown had a vision: an animal hospital that was neither rural nor metropolitan. My cat is moody, particular, and can be difficult to handle. The folks at Beltsville Veterinary Hospital always welcome her sweetly with care and concern. Even when she becomes disagreeable, they continue their professional and loving care. Someday this silly cat will realize these folks care about her and want to take care of her like they do with all the animals that walk through their doors.
My various pets have been patients at Beltsville Veterinary Hospital for more than forty years. Unfortunately some of my pets have been rushed to their hospital for emergencies. My wire fox terrier ate a sock. Dr. Mary Prowell performed surgery on Chloe’s stomach and intestines. Chloe had excellent treatment during her hospitalization. The staff and doctors kept me informed of her progress. They have let me visit my pets when they were hospitalized. I started with BVH three dogs ago. After I moved an hour away I struggled to find a vet I trusted. I had a bad incident with my pup and took her to BVH two years ago and I have been making the trip ever since. I love this place. They care. There is a reason they have been in business for so many years. They have a culture of concern that makes me confident that they are not trying to milk me at my pet's expense.

We live in Davidsonville MD and have three dogs that have been taken care of by Beltsville Veterinary Hospital since they were Babies. We’ve had many Vets over our 30+ years of having animals and they are the “Best By Far” and worth the extra ride !!! Thanks
