I was very pleased with the service I got for my sugar glider. They did not have a vet who specialized in these critters here, but the doctor had prior experience was able to get my baby going until i had time to make it to a vet who had much more experience. She was very understanding, reassuring, and very patient with the questions I threw at her. I took my feline, Lt Dan here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. They were the only clinic open on Saturday and welcomed walk ins. The check in staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't wait long before Dr Hankins came in to evaluate Lt. She made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to where I could understand. Sharon, the vet tech, also did a wonderful job helping with him. She was delicate yet firm when administering injections for my feisty Lt. Dan. The doctors and staff at BSAC are the best. Their professionalism, coupled with years of experience on top of true compassion is unlike any other veterinary service I've had to trust with my animals care. My current two cats both have special medical concerns that Dr. Hankins identified and has been able to treat accordingly. Every time we have to go there, the entire staff treats my cats and I like VIPs!
I do not doubt that the best in animal care is sold here. There are two kinds of vets, those that love the animals and make a good living, and those that love money and want to live like brain surgeons. I feel these guys fall into the second category. Their prices are through the roof. A minor emergency is guaranteed to cost you $500.00 or more where other vets will charge you $150-$200.
