The amount of manipulation and deception done by the employees was more damning than the ailment I went in for. I would never recommend!!!!
When Belmont was the only facility to accept my daughter, I immediately came to the reviews and was terrified of all the negative comments. But I would like to comment that I have nothing bad to say. The staff was all friendly (with the exception of the woman who met us at the door at intake) and I feel that they genuinely cared about my daughter. My experience with this behavioral health system has been profoundly unsatisfactory and has raised serious concerns about the quality of care provided. I relentlessly called this facility multiple times over several weeks, desperate for help with my mental health, but once I was accepted, I was treated with indifference and neglect. This hospital is one of the worst of many in PA. The doctors Justin Lazaroff M.D and a female Ukrainian D.O Yelena Shelbenik knew I was suffering from Dissociative identity disorder but refused to acknowledge or address it. None of the medication worked and I was there for a month and half but all I could do to heal was allow the alters to come out. I was abused from staff because of my healing process. I was in IOP/PHP in 2023 for around 9 months. Belmont set me up for success, they got me a social worker and set me up with a peer specialist before discharging me. This really helped me as it is hard to manage life as is. I enjoyed the DBT groups, being there daily saved my life. Shoutout to Jessye & Phil in IOP, & Kaitlyn?(occupational therapist) I learned so much from them, they saved my life. The psychiatrist when I was there, was not ideal. I was not listened to.
