Never been treated so badly – I went to Bellini's after a friend recommended it to me. Needless to say, he and I are friends no longer. The first problem with this restaurant confronts you as soon as you walk in - a truly terrible faux fresco depicting what I can only assume is the 'old country' of tuscany. Horrible Service – I'm generally a easily pleasable person and I've never written a bad restaurant review in my life but the service at this place was NOT ACCEPTABLE. I was leaning back on my chair and the owner comes to me and says not to damage the chair in a demanding way. Our new Philly Hot spot -Pleasantly Surprised – We stumbled upon Bellini Grill by accident and we were SHOCKED to see the reviews listed here afterwards. We are very critical when it comes to moderate / upscale dining and find it hard to believe some of the negative things written here about this diamond in the rough. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE -- And the food isn't even good! – So I originally had a reservation on a Friday night at 9, I called that afternoon to push it to 9:30 and they said okay... Not a good place if you're in a rush – I have eaten at Bellini Grill on more than one occasion. The food is very good and they had a live piano player when I went on a Friday night. Even on a Friday night, it's not too crowded there. This could be because the service isn't the best. It's a great place to go if you're not in a rush, but when they want you out, you can definitely tell because it seems like they swarm. If you can ignore that and just enjoy the food, this may be a good choice for you!
Fresh ingredients and personable add to home-style Italian dining in Center City. – In Short Warm-hued walls patched with large frescos of the Italian countryside give an old world feel to this tiny business district dining room. A good mix of business diners, date duos and "regulars" take up the dark wood tabled to dine on traditional, house-made dishes like fried calamari, Zuppa Di Pesce and Veal Parmigiana.
Horrible Service! – My friends and I went to Bellini Grill last night for restaurant week. The food was OK, not great or anything. I had the salmon and it was a bit overcooked, my friends were not particularly impressed with their meals either (the grilled sausage and the veal and crabmeat). Nowhere Better! – I have been dining t Bellini Grill since it opened several years ago, and I have always been treated to a great meal-- personalized to my taste! (This says a lot, I'm picky!) Great Fresh Fish – They had a great fresh fish of the day (Sole) which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. It had a great presentation where it was de-boned at the table. The service was excellent and prompt. The ambiance was a bit loud but festive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a good bagain.
