INEXCUSSABLE RUDENESS – This is the first time I have a ever posted a review and unfortunately it has to be a negative one. A group of friends and I had a reservation for dinner for my baclorette party. Every thing was great and everybody was having a great time when the chef came over. GREAT HOME COOKED ITALIAN NEAR THE SQUARE – MY WIFE AND I DINE AT BELLINI GRILL 40 TO 50 TIMES OVER THE PAST YEAR. THE SPECIALS ARE ALWAYS FRESH AND NOT OVER PRICED. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THE SAME FRIENDLY SERVERS HAVE BEEN THEIR FOR A LONG TIME AND JIMMY ALWAYS WALKS AROUND TALKING MORE TO THE NEW CUSTOMERS AND THE REGULARS. THE HOMEADE PASTA DISHES REMIND ME OF MY GRANDMOTHER ROLLING HER OWN DOUGH. ANOTHER BIG PLUS IS IT IS A BYOB. THE FRESH HOMEMADE DESSERTS ARE GREAT FOR AFTER THE THEATER.
This Restaurant Doesn't Deserve ANY stars! – I discovered this restaurant through City Paper. It had very favorable reviews so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. Great Experience!! – LOVED the Bellini Grill. My sister came in town to visit, and I wanted to give her a taste of the Philly BYO scene, so I decided on Bellini. GREAT decision! The atmosphere was very casual, the food was fresh, and the waitress was fabulous. Large Parties Not Welcome! – I often frequent Philadelphia restaurants with large parties. I made a reservation 1 month in advance for a party of 12 adults. I was sure to ask if large parties were welcome and if they could be accomodated comfortably. I was assured that large parties were welcome and I even helped by choosing a limited menu as to not overwhelm the staff. Absolutely horrible! – I went there on the first night of Restaurant Week. I wish I had checked these reviews earlier, because all of the bad stuff about this place WAS TRUE!! The decor sucked. We waited a very long time for our salad, then the appetizers. When we said something to the waiter he said, "It's not my fault. bla bla bla I hope this doesn't affect my tip." Yes, really. Great food, good service – We have been regular customers since Bellini Grill opened. The home made pasta keeps me coming back. The seafood is excellent as well as all the Italian specialties. The owner knows us when we come and stops by to say hello. Very friendly place, great food at reasonable prices.
Worst restaurant in Philly – I very rarely write reviews because I feel that sometimes restaurants deserve a second chance. Great food, Service not up to par – My husband and I stopped here for dinner one night on a visit to Philadelphia. We thought the food was very good; the gnocchi (me) and pasta (my husband) were both cooked nicely, and the sauces were flavorful. The green salad was somewhat boring, but nicely executed.
