The check in staff are an ounce short of a-holes. My mom thought she had broken her knee cap and showed no sympathy to her pain. Tried to make her get up on her own to get into a wheel chair and got aggravated when she had to take her time to do it (even with our help). I'd rather take the risk and drive down the street to Midlands from now on.
Stay away from Bellevue Medical Center. Took Mike in yesterday for a trauma wound to his hand. Sliced it open on his thumb, to the bone, and cut a tendon. BMC commenced to stitch the wound shut as it was gushing blood and sent him on his way with a prescription for Ibuprofen. We had to travel to Fort Dodge, IA for business and he spent the entire day in severe pain after calling BMC back to see if they could prescribe something stronger and they refused. Checking in and the waiting time was quick each time, personal was helpful and friendly, was glad I chose that Hospital.
This was horrible my daughter did something to her finger and it was swelling up like crazy and changing colors they took X-ray at 930 before we even go put into a room. Come 1115 we still had not been seen I went to talk to a nurse to see how much longer and they were sitting on the counters jacking around telling stories to each other and shoving food in their faces. The wait to be seen is attrocious. I brought my 2 year old son in with a gash on his ear that was bleeding profusely, they handed me a Kleenex and asked me to take a seat to wait to be seen. Every time I have gone there it has been a long wait time and then they don't do anything once you get in.
