Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner with brother Dale and sister Laurie. First year in many not cooking or at least not helping to cook on Thanksgiving. The Belhurst Castle has such a wonderful way to help all relax and enjoy the great food and beverage. If you have never been. Should stop to visit. Very comfortable place to dine , walk the grounds, and just to site by the fire looking at the lake. Thank you wonderful time. Hope to come back soon.
Our first time at Belhurst Castle for Thanksgiving dinner was a huge disappointment. From the crowded tables with people bumping into you trying to get to the buffet line to the terrible food. Mashed potatoes with "chunks" of partially cooked potatoes, glazed pork chops that were dry and hard to cut with a knife, stuffing that was mushy and cold and carved beef that was dry and tough. Don't book room 107 if you want to sleep past 5;30 AM! Sadly disappointed at the room and the subsequent staff response to our miserable stay at the castle. Room 107 is called the "butler's room" for a reason - mold in the tub and the room is directly over the kitchen. When staying in this room be prepared to hear kitchen staff until 11:00 at night and then starting back up at 5:30 AM. Beautiful place but service was just ok. Very slow, portions were very skimpy for price paid. Things ordered were not complete as stated in menu. Oh well Live n learn.
Very good place to eat! Very good service and food and highly recommend! Make sure you make reservations and everything will go as planned!
