Had braces on for years and still have an overbite. Went back a few years later due to issues with my teeth and they were very dismissive. Saw an alternative ortho who was happy to fix the problem.

I started treatment in 2021 and advised that I liked my front gap the way it was but all my other teeth were to be straightened which they said would be no problem. Each appointment I was asked if I was sure I wanted the gap, each time I said yes. By the end of the treatment my gap was much larger and I expressed at my final appointments that I was unhappy but kept getting push back that they couldn't do anything to fix it and I felt like the ortho would not listen and just rush off. My daughter has had a great result with Dr Tissa, however our experience has been very poor with reception. I know some receptionists have a bad reputation but the one there takes it to the next level. Extremely rude and self-righteous, you would think she knew more than the orthodontist. Trying to reschedule an appointment and you would think it was a major inconvenience to her, so, so rude. Several years ago I was treated here. The treatment was not as effective as the orthodontist had said it would be. Instead of admitting deficiency in his ingenious methods, he implied that I must be lying about following his prescribed treatment. I think this is a good example of the arrogant expert – if his faultless work is ever below standard then it must be the pleb who has spoiled it. Sometimes I lie awake at night and recall this memory of being falsely accused, and I cringe.
